McCormick Farm Birdwalk

Club members will return to McCormick Farm, historic family farm of inventor Cyrus Hall McCormick, for another walk on the Marl Creek Trail to identify resident species and perhaps a few migrants that have lagged behind.

Located in Raphine, the farm was donated to Virginia Tech in 1954 and designated a National Historic Landmark in

1. Today it is an active agricultural research station with ponds and trails open to the public. The varied habitats offer excellent opportunities to sight both woodland and water birds.
